Partner private sector to attain renewable energy goals – IPPs to government – Citi Business News

The Chamber of Independent Power Producers says for the government to attain its renewable energy target in the country's energy mix, it is important that it includes the private sector.

In an interview with Citi Business News, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Independent Power Producers, Elikplim Apetorgbor indicated that government will have to involve already existing independent power producers if it's committed to achieving its renewable energy goal.

Presently, renewable energy is just one percent of the country's renewable energy mix.
