Analysis: Why Health Minister-designate and MP elect for Dormaa Central won the seat for a fourth time
Mr Agyemang-Manu won the Dormaa Central seat in the December 7 parliamentary elections beating his main rival of the NDC, Mr Gordon Kwaku Asubonteng, a former Municipal Chief Executive for Dormaa Central. Mr Adu Jack had embarked on a vigorous campaign to galvanise support from the party's base motivating and encouraging them to try him as the party's surest bet to win the Dormaa Central seat from the NPP. Following the abysmal, shambolic performance and poor showing by Mr Adu Jack in the 2016 elections although he had lost narrowly, and closed the gab between him and his main contender Mr Agyemang-Manu, an idea to float Mr Asubonteng's name quickly surfaced and was strategically advanced across. Clearly, from the analysis above, the last three months of Mr Agyemang-Manu in 2020 was a strictly busy and a pretty hectic one for the Health Minister and MP elect for Dormaa Central on social media particularly Facebook.
The voice of the musician can straighten up the economy of a country- Shasha Marley
"If the country is not going well, it is not the politicians who will make things better. It is the voice of the musician that will straighten up the economy of the country. Let me give you an example, when the army coast in Cote D'Ivoire went into the crisis and they were fighting, it took the voice of Alpha Blondy to unite them." "When you look at the big issues in the past, it took the voice of Bob Marley to unite the world. When Bob Marley played a song like Zimbabwe, it didn't take long for Zimbabwe to gain independence", he stated. Shasha Marley believes that as musicians, they have much more "Anointing" than pastors.
Akufo-Addo-Bagbin 'tussle' imminent over Council of State appointees
"The possibility exists that this number may be further expanded but there ought to be an amendment of the constitution which will allow the President to appoint 17 as against 11 members of the Council in order to maintain in the new regional governance structure, the equilibrium of the Council as originally provided by the office of the Constitution." "After 28 years of the Fourth Republic, I think it is fair to say that one of the most successful Councils of State we have had has been the one that worked with me in my first term of office. We saw an intellectually vibrant Council, an active one that took its responsibility seriously." "Not only does this promote continuity in the work of the Council, but also allows these retained members to share their experiences with their new colleagues to enable them contribute meaningfully to the work of the 8th Council of State."

I don't like collaborations on my songs
He stated during an interview with Y97.9FM's Haruna Babaginda on the Reggae Republic Show that he is always available to collaborate with other artistes on their songs but personally, on his own songs, he has a problem with collaborating. "Even though collaborations sell, both artistes have to be present whenever there is a performance of that song. For instance, if I collaborate with an international act like Sean Paul and I go to London to perform but I'm unable to go with him probably because he has other shows to perform at, I'm also not a rapper so in that case, I won't be able to perform to the fans' satisfaction". If they are comfortable with giving their fans half performances, then the collaboration can happen but personally, he only wants maximum entertainment for his fans is not comfortable with making collaborations on his songs.
FLASHBACK: No EC can rig elections for any party
"We should know that no Electoral Commission has what it takes to rig elections in favour of any political party," he stressed. Among the reasons for their protests, the parties, notably among them the National Democratic Congress, fear the move could favour the ruling party, the New Patriotic Party.
