The Electoral Commission has cleared 12 presidential candidates to contest the December 7, 2020 election. The EC Chairperson, Mrs Jean Meansa who announced the list of qualified candidates at the EC headquarters in Accra at about 5pm Monday said the Commission had extensively scrutinised the nomination forms of the aspirants to ensure that each candidate satisfied all the requirements outlined by law to qualify as a candidate.

Osei Frimpong said that the Free Senior High School introduced by President Akufo-Addo has not only benefitted the children of the living but also the dead ones' children are beneficiary of the Free Education policy. NDC To Establish Street Lights Authority
The National Democratic Congress says it will establish National Street Lights Development Authority if it wins the December 7, elections. Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Chairman of the NDC, who announced this, said the Authority would manage the street lights levies paid by electricity consumers to properly maintain the street lights in the country.

Mr Iddrisu called on the ministers of state and the Majority Leader to prioritise bills to the House rather than stampeding the House with bills in what he called "The November of the four-year mandate." I Will Commit Half Of My Salary To Youth Development
Mr John Dumelo, National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate, Ayawaso West Wuogon, says he will commit 50 per cent of his salary to youth development in the constituency if voted for. Mr Dumelo promised to established a local football team for cheers and gain, saying the initiative would help create job opportunities for the youth in sports.
NPP Capable Of Winning Central Region In Presidential Election
The Governance Research Bureau says per statistical model based on analysis of election results since 1992, President Akufo-Addo, New Patriotic Party presidential candidate for the December 7, 2020 election, has the potential to win in a majority of constituencies in the Central Region. Dr. Nortey, also Senior Lecturer in Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Ghana, Legon, said the party can be assured of victory in the Central Region if they win in their strongholds of Agona East and Ajumako Enyan Essiam, as well as, at least, 10 out of the eleven potential swing constituencies in the Region.
